Reach to Recovery

For those of you who are experiencing breast disease, we want you to know there is support available in our community.

 For any of you who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, we offer Reach to Recovery.  This is an American Cancer Society-sponsored program to help you through the early days of diagnosis and treatment.  A visitor who has experienced breast cancer will see you in the first few days before treatment.  She will provide helpful information and address any concerns you might have.

A breast cancer support group meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at MCMH.  This is a group of women who are breast cancer survivors, newly diagnosed and long-term survivors.  Meetings include a short program and sharing of ideas and concerns.  For more information, contact Jerry Vennerberg at (712)829-2603 or Venita Edie at (712) 623-4264.
