The Support Group

"Journeys" is a support group that provides a safe, supportive atmosphere to learn about and understand the grief process, to share grief experiences and to search for a renewed sense of meaning and purpose in life.

• Meetings will be held weekly for six weeks.
• Each session will be held on Wednesday and will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.
• Summer session will run Wednesday, July 6 through Wednesday, August 10
• Fall session will run Wednesday, September 21 through Wednesday, October 26
• Minimum of four participants
• Meetings will be held in the Conference Center in the lower level of the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital
• There is a $15 registration fee for supplies.  However, no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay

Christie Welter has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and is licensed in the state of Iowa.  She has practiced social work in health care for ten years.  She works closely with people in grief through Heartland Hospice.
