Lifeline is a personal response service that gives immediate access to help whenever needed.  By simply pressing the Personal Help Button worn around the neck or wrist a Lifeline subscriber is instantly connected to a professional monitor who will access the callers need and respond appropriately, whether it's calling a loved one, neighbor or emergency services.

Montgomery County Memorial Hospital has offered the Lifeline service the past 20 years. This is what one subscriber has said about the service. "It gives me security when I am by myself.  I know if I press the button someone will answer me.  One time I fell when I was alone and Lifeline contacted my family and they came to help me immediately.  Not only do I feel secure but it also gives my family peace of mind."

Lifeline helps peoples confidence to live independently in their own homes.  The added benefit of this service is that it gives family members and caregivers peace of mind, knowing that help is there even when they are not.

Users include:

  • People who live alone
  • New mothers who may need to get help for their infant without leaving cribside
  • People who may be concerned about their personal safety or security
  • Those with ongoing medical conditions
  • Post operative patients who want to maintain a link to medical assistance
  • Disabled or handicapped individuals

Lifeline is not just for emergencies

Lifeline is to enhance day to day living.  With oversized buttons, enunciated dialing and hearing aid compatibility, our enhanced telephone is perfect for keeping in touch with family and friends.  Your loved one can also answer incoming calls simply by pushing the Lifeline button they wear.  This eliminates the need to rush to answer the phone and risk falling.

With Lifeline, you don't have to worry.  Call the MCMH Social Services department today for more information at 1-712-623-7204, or visit the Lifeline website at www.lifelinesys.com. Cost for installation is a one time fee of $35.00 with a recurring $30.00 monthly fee for the service.
