Work Health Solutions
Montgomery County Memorial Hospital has been in the business of meeting the health care needs of our community for over 80 years. During that time, the hospital has developed many specialty programs to meet changing patient needs. One of these programs, Work Health Solutions, is a department within the hospital designed to address the unique occupational health needs of employers. Because your business is unique, we do not take a “one-size-fits-all” approach to occupational health program development. The Work Health Solutions staff is dedicated to assisting you in developing cost-effective occupational health programs for your workforce. We can help you define essential job functions, set up a comprehensive substance abuse testing program, perform post-offer physicals to match employee’s capabilities to the job, and provide injury prevention and management among other services. All these services are offered in one convenient location all specifically tailored for your business. The Services You Need From a Health Care Provider You Can Trust Services offered by most occupational health care providers may appear similar on the surface. However, at Work Health Solutions, you will find a comprehensive approach to occupational health which emphasizes preventing injuries and maintaining a healthy workforce. Through an integrated program design, Work Health Solutions will not only treat work-related injuries, but proactively identify the source of those injuries and help employers develop strategies which reduce injuries in the future. Your goal is to have safe and healthy workers, ours is to help you accomplish that goal by offering a comprehensive occupational health program.
If your goal is to have healthy and productive workers, Work Health Solutions can help you achieve that goal. Bringing health services to the workplace significantly increases the probability that employees will receive the risk screening services they need. Work Health Solutions programs do not replace or compete with an employee’s personal physician. Any existing or potential health conditions identified through the screening process are referred to the personal physician for further evaluation and treatment.
A payroll clerk, housekeeping supervisor, plant manager, forklift operator, bank teller, salesperson, human resources manager...high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, cancer, stroke...how do you know? For most employers, their workforce is their most valuable, and expensive, asset. While time and money is spent to maintain machinery and buildings very little is spent to maintain a healthy workforce. The costs associated with illness and disease are staggering. From sick days and increasing insurance premiums to decreased productivity and replacement workers, employers everywhere are impacted by employee health issues. So what can an employer do to control these expenses? Fortunately, the most common health problems facing workers today can often be minimized or even prevented through early detection and/or lifestyle changes. Like any other “machine” nothing can prevent all breakdowns within the body, but regular maintenance can certainly help us operate more efficiently.
