Biography
Dr. Mark Kemp joined Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in May 2021 as a specialist in internal medicine. Dr. Kemp is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He attended Michigan State University (MSU) where he received his undergraduate degree in physiology, attended medical school and completed his postdoctoral residency in internal medicine. Dr. Kemp has been an active member of the MSU teaching faculty and the American College of Physicians for the past 30 years. He enjoys all aspects of internal medicine; treating conditions like diabetes, heart disease, lung conditions, hypertension and high cholesterol in adults and those over the age of 16.
"I absolutely love medicine," said Dr. Kemp, "I chose internal medicine because it integrated an intellectual challenge with the opportunity to serve others."
Dr. Kemp is a native of Michigan and married with four sons. He has numerous interests and hobbies however, he especially enjoys time with his family and most outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, sailing and skiing. He was attracted to this area by the opportunity to provide an outstanding community with the type and the quality of care delivered at MCMH + Clinics. He is looking forward to exploring the wonders and opportunities southwest Iowa has to offer.
