Biography

Dr. Norman Ferrer is an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN) at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women's Center Council Bluffs. Born in Puerto Rico, he graduated from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Cayey and completed his OB/GYN residency at the San Juan Municipal Hospital in his hometown of San Juan. Inspired by his father, who was also an OB/GYN, Dr. Ferrer feels grateful to be a part of bringing life into the world. Delivering babies is his favorite part of the job.

"I see so much emotion from families," Dr. Ferrer added. "That's the part that's very rewarding."

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Ferrer is passionate about serving those who often run into language barriers when trying to access health care. He's proud to be a part of Methodist Health System and work alongside such a compassionate group of professionals.

Dr. Ferrer enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He likes to read, watch movies and travel back home to see his parents in San Juan.
