The Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a nonprofit organization providing volunteer services for patients, staff and visitors. Over 150 active and sustaining members contribute more than 11,000 hours of service each year. Since its beginning in 1961, the Auxiliary has raised over 1 million dollars for hospital equipment and projects.

Volunteer opportunities with the MCMH Auxiliary include providing book cart services, giving visitor information, operating the Lemon Tree gift shop, cafeteria assistance, annual benefit dinner/dance coordination, Lemon Tree’s Christmas Preview Sale, Linen Sales and employee appreciation events, and helping to staff the MCMH + Clinics booth at the Montgomery County Fair.

Courier Delivery

Our courier service volunteers help to transport items between MCMH + Clinics main campus and our satellite clinics, Malvern Medical Clinic, RHC & Villisca Medical Clinic, RHC. This program operates on a regular schedule and relies on a team of volunteers who have access to a reliable vehicle and are trained to transport medical and other items between the different facilities. Our courier services volunteer program plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of the hospital system by providing a safe and efficient way to transport items between locations.

The Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization, founded in 1984, that supports MCMH + Clinics in its mission. Each year, the MCMH Foundation board members work to raise funds through donations and special events to purchase equipment and fund programs for MCMH. Volunteers have the opportunity to help in fundraising efforts, serving on the board, and helping with annual events including the Golf Tournament.

Mobile Meals

Each day the MCMH Cafeteria prepares and packages 30+ meals (many of them specialized to the individual’s dietary needs) and delivers them to homebound individuals throughout Red Oak.

The MCMH Mobile Meals program has been around for years and something we are very proud to provide to Red Oak residents. Volunteers pick up meals from the MCMH cafeteria and deliver to residents from approximately 10:45am – 11:30am.

Each route typically takes about 20-30 minutes (from pick up to final drop off) and all delivery locations are within the city limits of Red Oak. The residents enjoy getting a hot meal and a friendly hello from the delivery driver each day - and as a driver it is also a rewarding experience!

Check out our Community Resources Page if you are looking for mobile meals in other communities!
