Ultrasound Guided PIV Insertion Class

May 20, 2026 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM MCMH Conference Rooms A&D

The Ultrasound-Guided PIV Insertion Class is a hands-on educational course designed for clinicians who insert peripheral IVs and want to improve success rates, especially in patients with difficult vascular access. The class focuses on using ultrasound technology to enhance vein identification and provide real-time needle guidance, ultimately improving patient care.

The course will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 PM and is presented by Michelle Vance, CRNA. No prior experience with ultrasound-guided insertion is required, making the class accessible to both beginners and experienced clinicians seeking to expand their skills.

Participants will receive practical, hands-on training and are eligible to earn 2 nursing contact hours. The course is intended for all healthcare professionals involved in peripheral IV insertion. Registration closes on May 6, 2026.
