Biography
Kelsey Johnson is a double-board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing high quality, compassionate care in our community. Kelsey earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, where she focused on Family Medicine backed up by evidence-based practice. She has been in healthcare for 16 years, and her knowledge and passion for the profession continues to grow. Kelsey’s background in the Medical-Surgical unit, various clinics, urgent care, and infusion services has helped her build meaningful relationships and treat patients with needed individualized care. Watching many family members work in healthcare inspired her to become involved in caring for patients, leading to a fulfilling career.
“My goal as a provider is to focus on preventative treatments, treat the whole person, not just the symptoms, and work alongside my patients as a partner in their health. I’m passionate about educating patients about their health and supporting their lifelong wellness.”
When Kelsey is not in the clinic, you may see her out and about with her husband, Hud, and two little girls, Hallie (4) and Raylin (2). They enjoy hosting get-togethers and participating in events, especially with family and friends. Kelsey likes to experiment with different recipes and bake with her daughters! Her family loves being outdoors, and are usually working on some project/renovation in their house. Kelsey and her husband grew up in Red Oak, IA and recently moved their family back from Des Moines to plant their roots back home. Kelsey worked at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital as a nurse for almost 10 years, and is motivated and dedicated to providing care for her patients as a Nurse Practitioner.
“I’m honored to serve our community, and I can’t wait once again to be a part of Montgomery County Memorial Hospital!”
