SANE Nurses:
MCMH + Clinics employes several SANE nurses in our emergency department. A Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) is a highly trained registered nurse who provides specialized care to patients who have experienced sexual assault or abuse. In the emergency department, SANE nurses work closely with law enforcement to ensure patients receive timely and comprehensive care. With their extensive knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence collection, SANE nurses play a crucial role in supporting patients on their path to healing and justice.
